Company Overview
Stone Run Family Medicine is an independent single specialty family medicine practice in the northeast corner of Maryland. We provide outpatient family medicine including newborn care, geriatrics, minor surgeries, joint injections, house calls, preventive services, nursing home care and diabetic group classes. The practice is comprised of one FP and two PA-Cs. We lease part of a 8000 square foot suite which we share with another solo family physician. Currently our weekend call is one in six, splitting weekends with another group of family docs. Onsite phlebotomy, imaging, orthopedic, GI, and psychology is available. Our practice is a NCQA level 3 PCMH site, has been part of a Multipayer PCMH pilot in the state of Maryland , and also a beta site for testing a few exciting Health IT initiatives, including Youscripts http://www.youscript.com , and Health Mirror http://health-mirror.com. We treat all four generations of several families. Providers see an average of 22 patients per day.
We strive to maintain an atmosphere of consistently competent and timely patient care, which cultivates provider skills, fosters creativity, and allows for sustained personal well being.
Rising Sun has a small town atmosphere, with family farms and Amish settlements nearby, while being within 1.5 hours from three international airports. Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington DC are all within easy access for CME or a night out.

Company History
Stone Run Family Medicine has served the Rising Sun, Maryland community for the past 12 years. Joseph Weidner, Jr. MD FAAFP has been a physician in town for the past 21 years. He was joined by Barry Baker, PA-C 13 years ago. They formed SRFM in 2002 and were joined by Kristina Smalley, PA-C in 2012.
