Company Overview
Riverdale Family Practice (RFP) has been serving the Riverdale community for more than 25 years. Today, they have expanded to eight board certified family practitioners; Carl Franzetti, Frank Maselli, Letecia Gonzalez, Jill Groves, Vandana Patil, Robin Pinzon, Ludmila Sedlackova and Roger Villi.
RFP provides skilled personal attention from birth to senior years. Our physicians work together as a team to provide family’s health care 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 52 weeks per year. Convenient extended office hours are available Monday thru Friday from 8am to 8pm. Saturday mornings, emergency appointments are available until noon. We strive to maintain a partnership with our patients to provide the very best health care available. At Riverdale Family Practice, families are our business, each patient has the status of our family member.
An Electronic Medical Record is utilized to facilitate medical care via patient engagement tools. Patient Health Records can be transferred immediately and securely to hospitals or other institutions as needed. Patients may log onto the RFP Patient Portal to view lab results, request prescriptions and referrals, and print medical history from the convenience of their home or office. Ipad kiosks are present in the RFP reception area allowing patients to research their medical concern. A Diabetic Educator is available on site by appointment.
RFP has achieved NCQA Level 3 recognition status as a Patient Centered Medical Home twice. This prestigious recognition is awarded to those practices who commit to high-quality care for their patients. RFP participates in the Bronx ACO (Accountable Care Organization), partners with The New York City Department of Health (NYCDOH) on a variety of projects, and most recently has been named an Ambassador Practice for the Blue Cross Blue Shield Medical Home Project.
Hospital affiliations include St. Joseph's Medical Center, Yonkers, New York and New York-Presbyterian Columbia University Medical Center, New York, New York. Nursing home affiliations include Bon Secours New York Health System Schervier Senior Services, Riverdale, New York, and Manhattanville Nursing Care Centers, Riverdale, New York. Our physicians are also on staff at the College of New Rochelle, New Rochelle, New York and Manhattan College, Riverdale , New York, serving the student populations here.
RFP recently relocated to new state of the art office space complete with 22 new exam rooms to better service our patients. This is a professional dream come true for doctors Maselli and Franzetti in their endeavor to continually provide excellent medical care to all their patients. Come visit us. Company History
Riverdale Family Practice opened in 1987 at 3125 Tibbett Avenue. The now senior partner’s doctors Franzetti and Maselli worked tirelessly round the clock building the practice to provide quality care to their patients.
As the practice grew, the partners added physicians to meet the needs of the expanding patient base. The practice converted all files to an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) n 2005. In 2009, the practice updated the EMR to handle the Meaning ful Use directive of the Office of the National Coordinator in Washington D.C.
Realizing the continued growth of RFP, the partners had further vision to move their practice to a new state of the art office space opened just one year ago.
Patient Engagement is facilitated via Ipad kiosks and informational television in the waiting area. Patients log onto their own portal to see test results and now can download the HEALOW app to view their results anywhere. Coming soon messages sent by text to the patients cell phone for immediate action. Globally, transfer of patient data is facilitated via a P2P network (physician 2 physician). RFP is a part of the Bronx RHIO (Regional Health Information Organization) and soon to be partnered with the NYSCE RHIO.
RFP is on the technological edge always striving to improve the practice but never forgetting the ultimate goal from whence they came of providing quality care to patients.
