Staff Physician (Family Practice) opportunity in Northeastern Arizona. Beyond the city, bona-fide treasures of panoramic delights await you in Fort Defiance, Arizona! Tséhootsooí Medical Center is the primary hospital for Fort Defiance Indian Hospital Board's healthcare delivery system. Accredited by CMS, TMC provides general outpatient and inpatient healthcare to 16 surrounding communities. TMC also provides same-day surgery, a diagnostic center, a growing network of primary care and ancillary services. Services include: Primary Care Clinic, Dental Services, Mental Health Services to include an Inpatient Adolescent Care Unit, Optometry Services, ENT, Surgical Services, Orthopedic Services, Podiatry Clinic, OB/Gyn Clinic, ICU, Rehabilitation Department (Physical, Occupational and Speech Pathology), Lab, Pharmacy and TMC’s Mobile Health Program. Tséhootsooí Medical Center provides integrated healthcare services to include Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, House Supervisors, Case Managers, Dieticians, Diabetes Instructors, Public Health Nursing, Social Workers, On-call Behavioral Health Counselors, Tele-Psychiatry and sub-specialists include Radiologists and Hospitalists.
Requirements
Physician is a graduate of an ACGME-approved residency program. Fort Defiance Indian Hospital Board is a multi-state licensure hospital system, DEA license is required, BC or BE. Family Practice Physician will provide services in Fort Defiance Arizona. The health center provides outpatient services between 8AM and 6PM Monday thru Friday, Saturday Clinic (once a month), excludes holidays. The position includes a rotation of inpatient and outpatient services. Inpatient call coverage shared with other Family Practice physicians, Internal Medicine physicians and UCSF Global Health Fellows and is provided at Tséhootsooí Medical Center. The 40 hour work week is based on a 4 day/10 hour schedule, to include administrative time.
