Healthy U is currently seeking a dynamic Board Certified Family Medicine Physician with ability and desire for teaching, to join the Abrazo Family Medicine Residency Program as the Associate Program Director at the Abrazo Central Campus in Phoenix, AZ.
The Abrazo Family Medicine Residency Program is a community-based program affiliated with Midwestern University and the University of Arizona. We have been in the community for over 40 years, and are the only residency program at Abrazo Central Campus with 21 total residents.
We are looking for a dedicated individual who shares our philosophy of serving the community and supporting our academic mission. This position requires blend of direct patient care, resident and medical student teaching, precepting, and curriculum development, along with administrative and scholarly activities. Night and weekend calls are required.
Requirements
As an Associate Program Director (APD) in addition to Core Faculty Duties the physician will be the chair of the CCC, assist the Program Director with recruiting, updating annually program documents, didactic management, faculty scheduling, faculty development coordination and ensuring ACGME and ABFM requirements are met. Assist the PD with residency issues as needed and serve as PD when PD unavailable.
Special consideration will be given to candidates who bring unique experience to the team, or have interest and training in, sports medicine, academic medicine, research, geriatrics, women’s health, hospitalist work, integrative medicine and care for the underserved. Spanish speaking skills are also a benefit, though not required.
