Description

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute with distinction in the areas of clinical care, 
teaching mentoring of medical trainees, scholarly and/or creative activities, and University and public 
service. The successful candidate must have the ability to foster collegiality and work collaboratively in 
a diverse environment and must have the ability to adhere to University policies and procedures. 
Specific core duties, functions and responsibilities will include:
Providing direct outpatient clinical care in all aspects of family medicine, across the patient age 
spectrum.

• Providing inpatient care for adult and pediatric hospital patients, and/or providing inpatient care 
  for obstetrical patients.
• Teaching and supervision of residents and medical students providing clinical care in the 
  inpatient and outpatient settings, and in didactic sessions. 
• Participating in clinical care quality monitoring and improvement efforts.
• Providing service to Department, School, and other (e.g., University, professional society, 
  community) committees
• Participating in scholarly and/or creative activities appropriate to the HSCP series: 
  This recruitment is conducted at the Assistant/Associate rank. The resulting hire will be at the rank of
  Assistant/Associate, regardless of the proposed appointee’s qualifications.
